You Lookin' For Me??

I'm hard to catch...
especially this time of year.
With distractions like this...

and this...

it's so easy to just spend the entire day outside.
Doing nothing else, but enjoying Mother Nature's gifts.

I'm a happy girl when I can spend the entire day with my flowers.

Even when I have so much work to do...
and I know I should take care of that first...

I peek out my window,
and see things like this...

calling to me...

"Come out and play!"

I can catch up on my work later...
right?

Right!

My good friend Julie, reminds me of how lucky I really am.
You see, other than gardening, my passion is in creating. I
have always loved to create beautiful things. I am
incredibly lucky to make a living at what I love doing.

I'm so lucky to be able to work from home.
To spend my days with my children...
or spend my days in the garden.

I'm so thankful for the talent I was given.
And thankful that I finally had the courage to persue that passion.

Thankful for the everyday beauty that surrounds me.

If you need me, I'll be outside for a while...

but I'll be back soon.

Hope you have a lovely day!

  1. I completely understand how the gardens call your name...and beautiful gardens too. It's so refreshing to read that you are thankful for being blessed instead of taking it for granted like so many people do.

  3. Daisy Daisy quite contrary, how does your garden grow? With silver bells and coquille shells and pretty maids in a row (and snakes).
So nice to see your garden again, but nicer to see you again Daisy Duke.
I can tell you have been busy. WOW! My garden looks good too, but yours looks amazing. How's my little princess? and Dylan? Are they out of school yet? Colt just left for Prom, in his Tux. He's so handsome. He's grown to over 6' now. Has a girlfriend, and graduates this month from grade 12. He's going to University in the fall. Law. Riley is also graduating this month, and working. Brittany has now moved into her own apt. Her and Matt broke up. She graduates from college also this month. She landed a great job in Ottawa. A reputable law office. She's doing Ok so far.
Randy is not great. Not sure if you knew, but while I was away, or should I say came home, he was in bad shape. The fibromyalgia is really taking it's toll on him. Such a damn shame. One day at a time. That's how i'm coping.
Ok girlfriend, I gotta get things done around here. Enjoy your pretty garden, I know how much you love it out there. Just keep that "shot gun" close by for those snakes. Oh, and I hope your wearing those steel boots : )
    Love you Daisy.

  4. I have the same problem this time of the year. I just love walking around the garden, taking photos, pulling a few weeds here and there. It's so enjoyable.

thanks for sharing your beautiful photos - the foxgloves have my poor heart going pitter-patter. I love them, yet sadly I can't seem to grow them, and believe me I've tried!

  5. Your blooms are all lovely! You may envy my foxgloves but I envy your hydrangea! Mine haven't started yet and I'm trying to wait patiently! Jean

  6. I'm glad you make time to get out in the garden. It shows, as your garden is beautiful! I LOVE foxgloves. My garden is so overgrown this year. We had a lot of rain, and I never found the time to get out there and prune. It does need some attention, but thankfully that doesn't stop the flowers from blooming! Great pictures and here's hoping all is well with you!

    Take care, Sue

  7. Yes, Teresa. We've missed you. Like you, I'd rather be outdoors but the sewing machine keeps calling. Would love to see pics of some of your recent projects. And...your flowers are absolutely beautiful.

  8. Hey Teresa! These flowers are GORGEOUS! Someday soon I'd love to chat with you about possibly doing slipcovers for my Henredon two piece set...possibly to have done after the New Year. Right now we're putting our son through his final months of school. Will try to check out your work on your blog...I'm sure you have some of it showcased! :) I hear you had a tremendous time in FL with our Claudie and Julie! Aren't they just the best? :) ~CC Catherine
