LEATHER

There's something sensual about leather.
I just have to touch it, run my hands over it, smell it.
I love the smell of new leather.
I love the feel of old leather.
It just gets better with age.
I have been looking (for a few years) for the perfect
leather belt, for my fav native american buckle.
I couldn't believe how hard it is to find a quality leather belt.

At last.
Here she is.
Nothing fancy.
Just a single strap of leather.
Warm cognac brown, perfectly burnished along the edges.
Perfect.
I.am.in.LOVE.
As any great friend would do,
I have to share this resource with you.
You can find Peggy on Etsy. Galeatherlady to be precise.
Peggy is just the sweetest thing, she even sent a free gift with my purchase.
I ordered a matching watch band to go with my belt.
Check it out.
My birthday present to myself.

Peggy uses real leather skins in all of her items,
not that bonded leather (junk). And her prices are so reasonable.
Here's a sample of her work.

I have always loved carved leather belts like these.

I have got to get one of these checkbook covers!
Again.... I.am.in.LOVE!

I can see myself with this...

and this!

Wouldn't these be fabulous on some baskets?
The rich texture and wonderful of aroma of fine leather makes it perfect for gift giving. Leather becomes better with age, softening, breaking in and becoming uniquely yours. and will last for years, looking better over time as the leather softens and mellows.
If you're looking for quality leather goods,
go visit Peggy, & tell her I sent ya.

My Grandmother always told me, "If you hang around with skunks, you're gonna get some stink on you."
