This bay window had a beautiful view
to the garden, just outside, so these window treatments
needed to be simple in design.
Nothing too fussy, nothing too busy.

And for the adjoining kitchen...

matching valances.

Sometimes, the simplest designs really are the best choice.
I don't know about you...
but my kitchen never looks that good.
Know what I mean?
One of these days, I'm going to make some window treatments for my own house... really, I am.

  1. No, my kitchen never looks that good. I do love those window treatments. You do such good work. I know when you get to your kitchen, it will be wonderful. You have the best taste and do such good work!

  2. I love them. I have been trying to decide on a window treatment for my family room. I plan to use drop cloth fabric and I like the look of yours - - it might have to make my own version. Thanks!

  3. These valances...I love! I love the way they fall! So beautiful...you are so talented!!

    Lou Cinda :)

  4. Simple is always better... love it.
BTW i didn't know you were into leather!!!!!!!!!!!! lol lol
    Did I miss your Birthday??????
    Love Claudie

  5. Very nice...sometimes less is more! I enlarged the photos and thought to myself, there must not be any children living/using that kitchen...if only...sigh..

  6. Perfect window treatments! And my kitchen never looks that good either! Have a great day!

  7. Must. Have. These. Window. Treatments!

New follower and loving your blog and your talents! Of course you have to live in Georgia far far away! (Chicago here)

Just redecorated my living room and HATING it already! Window treatments SO predictable! I'm taking them down (only been up two days...store'll take 'em back right? If you feel like making a suggestion, I'd be happy to email you a picture or two! :)

My Grandmother always told me, "If you hang around with skunks, you're gonna get some stink on you."
