Friday's Favorite Family Foto

I LOVE Fridays !!
Last week I was inspired by Malisa @
http://moonlighthollow.blogspot.com/ . She shared an adorable photo of her and her cousin. It inspired me to go through my old photos and find a particular cousin photo that I have been saving for many years...
My photo, however, is more humorous, than adorable...
and this one's for you, Karen...

This is a photo taken of me with my little sister, and my cousin, Justin.
I always giggle a little bit, when I see this photo. My cousin, Justin lives many hours away, in Florida. When we were younger, we spent time together every summer at our Grandparents home. We have so many fond memories of just playing together in the fields, and riding GranDaddy's tractor with him. We grew up, had children of our own, and didn't see each other for over 20 years.
Until recently...

During the Christmas Holidays, my cousin, his wife Karen, and their boys, Justice and Carson, stopped by for a visit, on their way to the North Georgia Mountains. It was so good to spend time together again. And Justin's wife is just the sweetest thing... I told her about my blog, told her she should start one too, ... so we can keep up with each other more. You know.
Well, Justin says I've created a monster. But I think you're all gonna love her. She's up and running now, so please drop by http://augustsummerrose.blogspot.com/ and leave her a little note, so she'll know you were there. A little ... welcome ... if you please.

And while you're at it, drop by Deborah's, and visit all of the other ladies who are participating in Friday's Favorite Family Foto.

Or better yet, join in.

  5. This picture reminds me of some that my mother has of me with my sister. I was close to my cousins in SC but don't get to see them very often. Miss that.

  7. Karen is you cousin-in-law! She was having a problem getting her post up today...I should go back to see if it's up now.

Cousins in our family are more like siblings - nothing like cousin-love.
    Thank you for sharing!

My Grandmother always told me, "If you hang around with skunks, you're gonna get some stink on you."
