Friday is the day for sharing
Favorite Family Foto.

My photo for today is of my Grand-Daddy.


He's the little one in this picture... along with his older brothers and sister. Clockwise from the top they are Homer, Royal, Grover, and Mildred. My Grand-dad was born in 1900 and I believe he was three years old in this photo. It is the only childhood photo I have of my Grandfather, so it is one that I cherish.

I don't think he was very happy about the outfit he was wearing.

    I have a photo of my granddaddy at a very young age and I treasure that one also. Maybe he wanted to dress like his older brothers, hence that sullen look. Funny how in old photos, people just didn't smile.

    I don't think anyone smiled for a pic back then.Isn't it funny now we say SMILE.Maybe that's why.ha.I love it.It is to be cherished...ANN

    What a handsome group! Isn't it funny how names have changed since then? One of these days, future generations will be looking at our photos and asking: where did they get those names like Amber, Madison and Justin? Ha!

    It's interesting that they really did not smile in those days. Maybe they hated pictures, who knows.
    Well Teresa, I saw your son and he is very handsome and I would have loved to have been at that restaurant with you having a Shake!!

    LOL! I agree, grandaddy doesn't look too happy. I love old photos.

    My husband and I are flying into Atlanta on the 31st. We are attending a banquet, something for the Braves. We will only be there for one night but it will be nice to be in Georgia for a little bit.

    Teresa, I love the photo you shared today. None of them look too thrilled to have there photo taken. I love the clothes they are wearing. Back then people didn't smile for the camera. I'm glad you are able to have this treasure of your granddaddy.
