Friday's Favorite Family Foto
I love my Mama.
Dorothy Joyce Turk
You may have seen some of these photos from an earlier post.
Since I found this lovely group of bloggers who share my passion,
I want to post these again, for Friday's Fav.
The photo above and below, are on the steps of my grandparents home,
where my mother grew up.
I have to agree with my sister here,
doesn't this photo remind you of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz?
Sending his little girl off to school.
You can see how proud he is.
In the next photo, you can see where I got my sass.
Now check out these ruffles.

Your mom is lovely. It seems like all your family are pretty people. And her rear is not THAT big.It looks normal to me...Ann
ReplyDeleteThat's SASS ... not ASS.
ReplyDeletetee hee hee
Ok I read "ass" not sass..lol thanks for correcting me cause you were going to get a mouth full girlfriend.
ReplyDeleteWOw I had tons of stuff to read. Now I'm all caught up.
Your mom is beautiful just like you. Where on earth were they when taking that picture up in the air on some type of truck??
Now about your floor. I would paint the cabinets cream and slightly distressed for sure. I think if you go black or dark you will not get the urge to cook!!! Just my 2 cents.
Love Claudie
You have a lovely mother! ...and yes, I see some of Dorothy in both those pictures...the socks with the shoes - so cute! ...I first saw "ass" also! I need to slow down a little and read things right! Love you post and hope to see you next Friday!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Deborah
So you got the attitude genes, huh? Your Mama is too cute! I, too, want that fancy prom dress...your grandmother probably sold it in a garage sale...thats what my mom did with all my prom dresses! Like you, my favorite photo is the one on top of the truck! And that is the cutest...pud 'n pie! Ha!

Okay, my computer is acting wacky today, so Teresa if you get two comments from me, that's why.
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful mother. Some of these pictures remind me of my mama. My paternal grandfather was also a hardworking farmer. He grew a lot of tobacco in TN.
