The Muses Have Asked...

and so I shall answer...

Of course I am passing along my knowledge
and love of sewing to my lovely daughter, Alyssa.

Just yesterday, she started and almost finished her first
doll quilt. She has, however, made 2 full sized quilt tops, already.
And she is only 7 years old.

Just like me, my Grandmother gave her - her first real, grown up
sewing machine, when she was just 5 years old.

Just like me, she inherited the fabric gene.

  1. You go pretty girl! You look so natural sitting at that sewing machine! What a wonderful talent to inherit! Please, please keep us posted by showing us all the goodies you stitch together! When you get rich and famous, maybe you can hire us!

    Happy New Year!

  2. You have more patience than I do. I still haven't let my 11 yr old daughter even try to sew on my machine. I'm a bad mom! I will have to let her give it a whirl! Your daughter is beautiful! My daughter would love the shirt she has on so I had better not let her see it because I'm sure I wouldn't be able to find it in WV. lol
    Take care,

My Grandmother always told me, "If you hang around with skunks, you're gonna get some stink on you."
