Flower Garden and Fairies

in January?

You betcha.

The skies are grey, and trees are bare...
but there is so much color everywhere.
Today I headed outdoors for some
fresh air, and fresh inspiration.

So today in my garden,
I find beauty, like this.

So much color. How could you not be inspired?

These little pincushion flowers are as anxious as I am...

I don't know about you, but I can hardly wait to get outside and
work in the garden.

Anticipation of beautiful blooms.

This little beauty is as tough as nails,
and the flowers last 365 days per year.

as usual, my companion is right by my side...
Mr. Thom Cat - chillin in the garden...

no doubt he's waiting for the unsuspecting flower fairy...

and speaking of Fairies... My sweet friend Missy @

http://www.fairychildheirlooms.wordpress.com/

is hosting a fairy swap! Sign-ups are open until January 26, so get on over there and join in. If you have never participated in a swap, let me just tell you, that I have met the most amazing and talented ladies from all over the world, and I have made frienships that I am sure will last a lifetime. And it is soooo much fun!

So come on, what are you waiting for?

  1. How terrific to have things coming up from the ground this time of year!

I have a nasturtium (sp?) that's blooming in my kitchen now, and it's such a pleasant sight in this freezing cold Michigan weather. :o)

My Grandmother always told me, "If you hang around with skunks, you're gonna get some stink on you."
